Adobe GoLive 5 To set up a session in GoLive, go to the "Preferences" menu choice, and you should see the following screen:
-
Choose "Network", then "FTP Server". If you choose the "Advanced" button you will see this:
It should not be necessary to change these settings, but if you are behind a firewall or on a LAN and have difficulty connecting, ask your System Administrator about these settings. To connect, choose the "Site" menu, and select "FTP Server - Connect". Alternatively you can choose "File" then "FTP Browser". This brings up a separate window with a "Connect" button.
Once connected, uploading is as simple as dragging and dropping files and folders from the left panel (your computer) to the right (the web server). All web files should be uploaded to the "domain-www" folder and below. CGI and Perl scripts need to be placed in the "CGI-BIN" subfolder of "domain-www".
