November 2007: The SimplePlan® - gets simpler??

Hard to believe, but true.
When we looked at the new servers and began to set up the new hosting packages, we realized we could improve - and simplify - your hosting experience even more. We found we could even make it more affordable - which is not easy to do when your price is in your name! It's the least we can do after you stuck by us through a very difficult time, and we're happy to do it for you.

To make it even easier, all clients (except for existing Resellers, see below) will be moved to one of 2 packages. Most customers, regardless of the current package they are on, will qualify for the SimplePlan®, but may want to take a look at the new "Fantastico" package which doubles the resources and adds a full suite of add-ons like blogs, bulletin boards, content management, and more. And the price is right there, in black & white:

Resellers
Our Reseller program will now include extra tools that make selling hosting easier than ever before. In addition to the increased allotments as described above, the new Reseller SimplePlan® comes with a new management tool called WebHostManager (WHM). WHM allows Resellers to establish their own branding for their clients' cPanels, and manage their resold domains directly. Resellers also get a 25% discount on the 2 retail packages above, and they determine what to charge their end users. In short, there are no changes here except good ones. Resellers can continue to use the same business model they're used to, only now they get even more power and flexibility. And with Fantastico! they get tools to grow their business even more, like billing programs, help desks, blogs, bulletin boards, and more!

*Note: virtual nameservers are not installed by default. It is strongly encouraged that Resellers assign all their domains to our generic nameservers. Nameservers require multiple dedicated IP addresses and there is therefore an additional cost associated with them, please inquire if you are interested.

What about add-ons?
Fantastico! is pretty much the only one you need. Anti-spam tools are now included so you won't need to renew that separately. PowerScriptz! is discontinued, as is CartXpress and ContentXpress* in favor of the better Fantastico! collection of tools. If you need more disk space or bandwidth than the levels seen here, contact us for a custom quote based on your needs. And we'll still be offering parked domains at the same $19 price (one-time fee). But that's about it. Like we said, simple!

* Fantastico includes OsCommerce (what CartXpress was based on) and PostNuke (what ContentXpress was based on)

What plan will I be placed on?
If your current account (base package plus add-ons) provides you 500MB or more of storage space, you'll be given the Fantastico! package automatically, otherwise you will be on the SimplePlan®. Resellers will stay Resellers, but with the higher allotments. If you're on the SimplePlan® and want to be upgraded to Fantastco!, just let us know.

Note: Resellers and their clients will be placed together on the same server as required by the cPanel/WHM system.
