Our Company History

5DollarHosting.com® was launched in 1998 and is still wholly owned and operated by the founders. Our original mission was simply to provide hosting for our client's sites that we had developed as web designers. When word of the 5DollarHosting features and prices spread, we began to grow. Our growth has continued at an astounding rate, and we now have customers in more than 50 countries and all 50 states. Exciting new features and products are on the horizon and we are committed to ever improving your hosting experience with us.

Who We are

5DollarHosting.com® is a division of Mayers Enterprises, Inc., a debt-free privately-held corporation. The principals of 5DollarHosting.com® are Craig & Terry Mayers, a husband and wife team. Our sales & support office is located in sunny Brevard County, Florida and our Network Center is in Baltimore, MD.

Terry Mayers holds a degree in Computer Science from the State University of New York at Albany. She previously worked in the telecommunications industry, configuring, programming, and maintaining large call center computers and equipment.

Craig Mayers holds a CNA (Certified Network Administrator) and in the past has worked as a Systems Administrator and webmaster for a national company. Craig has had extensive training in server administration and web design.

In addition to these folks, we employ personnel in various parts of the country to handle some of our technical support and information requests.

The staff at the Network Operations Center in Baltimore, MD manage the hardware and connectivity equipment and are on-site 24/7/365. Round-the-clock monitoring ensures that we can stop problems before they start. Read more about our network here.
